Windows 7 is good if ur a gamer , as many people said win 8 is dam slow and many games wont support it like the old NFS MW of 2005 and even samp wont , if u r a professional comp user ,then it is good to have 8  becoz 8 has many more advance features than 7 though the programs which r available in 7 wont be there in 8

windows 8 is for people who do work on there pc it is not for gamers it sucks in games and windows 7 is much better than windows 8 so i will recommend u to use windows 7

In my opinion Windows 7 is better from the way it looks and compatibility with most, if not all, games.
Even if I don't own Windows 8, I heard that most GTA games aren't able to work or have error popups.
So, if you want a computer for gaming, Windows 7 is your friend.
