★Guide to killing people in SAMP★

~Setting up your controls~
Always use a mouse with manual aim whenever gun fighting. People on SAMP lag, even if it's a little bit, so autoaim would only work well on people who stand still or have 0 ping, and if you're fighting an experienced person this is never the case. Set comfortable controls to sprint, change weapons, crouch, fire, aim, and your movement keys. Make sure that you can do all actions fluently ingame without pausing to look at your controls. Also be sure to set the controls so that one hand can perform all the movement so the other can focus on aiming.

~Killing players~
The major reason why most newbies fail at shootouts in SAMP is because they aim right at the person they're trying to kill, like in single player. This was also the case for me when I started, and I found out the hard way that it doesn't work. To hit people in SAMP you should fire straight at them only if they're standing still or moving in a straight line toward or away from you. When they're running circles around you, you have to aim ahead of them and predict their moves, based on how fast they're moving and what their ping is. The more you practice this, the easier it gets, so take your opportunity to pop wanted players whenever you can! Practice is the key to nailing it down just right.

~Tactics~

-One of the best tactics is to always switch weapons when your clip is about to run out, since this avoids the lengthy reload. Just switch to the next weapon and switch back to the original very quickly, then continue blasting. This is also known as "quick-swapping" among experinced players, and almost everyone who's decent knows to use this technique. If you perform it properly, that advantage of your opponent will dissapear.

-Never use walking weapons at close range unless you're sure to hit them. Pop in and out of the close range area which is about the length of two cars lengthwise ingame. Take shots when you feel it's necessary. Practicing often will improve your sense of when to do this.

-Always be on the move to lessen the chance of getting hit. Standing people are easy to hit, so learn to aim while moving. The ONLY time you might stand still is when crouching with an M4 to snipe someone.

-Always stock up on ammo and fill up health and armor whenever necessary. People constantly forget to do this, and people with 50 health or less can be killed by 1 well placed shot. Don't rely on luck, and fill up on supplies whenever you lose any.

-If it's a long range shootout, or a fight with an army vehicle, utilize as much cover as possible to block oncoming fire. Against army, you go in a parking garage, since there are many walls inside from which you can shoot and hide at the same time. If someone is trying to M4 you, take cover behind a car by crouching. Fire back when you think you can hit.

-Never attack someone without the essential weapons; if you don't have them, don't shoot anybody beforehand. Many good shooters die from well placed shots because defending yourself with a 9mm isn't very easy. Get your guns as soon as you can.
 
-When someone is escaping in a car, pop a tire then shoot the car itself with the M4. If they're not running, use the Desert Eagle. Always lead aim depending on the ping of the player, otherwise you're wasting ammo.

~Weapons~

I will go through weapons that you can use without hacking, and give them star ratings based on their usability.

-Pistols-


Some people prefer 9mm's for their running capability, but there are other running weapons which are much more effective, like the Uzi. Use these if you have nothing else against runners. The damage is low but if you can keep your target, it's consistent and kills them eventually. Almost useless against cars due to the low damage, and difficulty of tire popping. Ditch this for a better gun when you can.

Silenced .45

Essentially a faster firing but much weaker Desert Eagle, this is a walking weapon, so its usability immediately plummets. It's an okay weapon, but there are much better ones to use. It has the second lowest damage per shot of any walking weapon, behind the MP5 which fires much faster. One special afterthought on this is the long range aspect. This gun is quite accurate at medium/far range, so if you have nothing else, this will be your long range sniping weapon until you pick up something better.

Desert Eagle

Very useful gun, but very unfriendly to newbies. It takes approximately 45 health, as much as a sniper, when you shoot someone with this gun. The fire rate is very slow so never use this weapon repeatedly against running players, unless they're total noobs and don't fire back. The beauty of this gun is how fast it can take down a vehicle's health. It can set an average sedan in flames without using the whole clip of 7 shots. Also good at headshotting drivers of cars, since they can't move in their seat. One of the best guns for damaging cars, this is the pistol of choice for me. It's also a superb dueling weapon due to having the best C-bug advantage. If you can C-bug properly, it's possible to empty the clip twice as fast, while retaining the mobility of a running weapon.

-Submachine Guns-

Tec9

This is one of the best weapons for SAMP, since it shoots bullets in a small spread, so it's a lot easier to hit laggers, and it hits them constantly if you aim correctly. It also has a large clip of 50 so you barely ever have to reload while using this. This is an essential weapon against experienced players, because they never stand still intentionally, unless they're trying to shoot your head off by c-bugging with a deagle. Damage is low for each bullet, but it eventually racks up very quickly. This is the worst driveby weapon because the spread is smaller and the fire rate is slowed down a whole lot, but it's very important regardless.

Mac10

Just like the Tec9 only it has a slightly faster firing rate and a smaller spread. Once you get used to aiming ahead and not spraying as much with the Tec9, move on to this gun. It's a tiny bit better in drivebys than a Tec9 but it's not very effective. This is my SMG of choice because of all its great qualities, and the ability to run and shoot with it. It also costs a bit more, but you pay for what you get. A great gun.

MP5

You thought this might be the best cause it's the most expensive? It's actually the worst SMG with only 1 good quality, it's the best one for drivebying, so if that's your thing, then go ahead and get one. Unfortunately, this is a walking SMG, which is why it's so bad. It has a smaller spread than the Mac10 and fires slower because you can't dual wield it. When using it on foot, try to C-bug with it after about a half second of firing. It'll increase your chances of survival greatly.

-Shotguns-

Remington 870

I can say that this is actually a very good gun. It's a prime example of how much c-bugging can make a weapon so much more viable. C-bug after every shot, and you'll shorten your cooldown on the firing as well as skip the reload of the gun. To top it all off, you move much quicker. Use it against groups of people if they're clumped together. If the target gets caught in the middle of the blast, they get a small stun, which can help you make your next shot. A good gun, but sadly, the overpowered SPAS 12 is better in every single aspect.

Sawnoff

Very good gun, since it's the only shotgun that you can run with. You have 4 shots, and spreading them across wherever your opponent is running is almost a guaranteed hit if you aimed right, due to the 35 degree spread. Useless at long range, but it's one of the most damaging running weapon at close range which will net you quick kills. It unloads 4 shells if you hold the mouse button down, but only 2 if you click it, so if you master the click switch, all while aiming, you'll be almost unstoppable due to a tripled fire rate and no reloads.

SPAS-12

This is my favorite gun and gets 6 out of 5 stars. Why? Because it's ridiculously overpowered. Firstly, it's the only gun that outclasses the tier 1 weapon in every category. It has automatic fire, more damage, and a slightly smaller spread; all of which are beneficial to a skilled player. This weapon kills a person faster than anything else you can buy in Ammu-Nation due to the ridiculous damage per shot. If you hit someone, it stuns them for a bit, so you can hit them with those overpowered slugs again and again till they drop. The only disadvantage is that it's a walking weapon, but once you master c-bugging, this becomes a non-factor to your one-sided slaughterfests. This is one of the best guns to use against laggers, and it's ridiculous at close range, with the ability to drop someone in a matter of milliseconds. Switch before your 7th shot to skip the reload, or switch after every c-bug on 2-4 shots.

-Assault Rifles-

AK-47

A good gun, but it's the worst in its class, due to being overshadowed by the M4. Only get this if you can't afford to get an M4. It has a bit higher damage than an M4, a medium speed fire rate, and awesome accuracy at long range. It's basically a worse version of the M4, so read ahead if you want the full specs.

M4

This weapon completes my arsenal as the weapon of choice for assault rifles. It's like an upgrade of the AK 47, with bolstered power, faster fire rate, better accuracy, and a clip of 50 instead of 30! And to top it all off, it's the best weapon to hit a running car or bike with, due to its high damage against vehicles at long range, and its magical tire-seeking bullets. (I don't think it's just me, the bullets really do seek the tires out) At long range shootouts, this is THE gun to use, and it's the best for killing army hydras and choppers while utilizing cover to avoid the dreaded on-board minigun. This is a walking weapon, but running can be sacrificed for long range accuracy and good damage. C-bugging, unfortunately, doesn't do much for this gun. It's good enough as it is.

-Bonus: Sniper-

Sniper Rifle

This weapon does as much damage as a Desert Eagle shot, and can never be used without scoping in. Good for very long range assaults, out of M4 range. If you get caught close range without any other gun, you can moderately use it to attempt c-bugging. It's like a deagle, only with increased zoom. One of the hardest things to master in SAMP.
